Choose Your True Size
Most Colombian fajas are designed to provide compression without needing to size down. The most important measure is your weight. With your weight, you can have an overview of your perfect fit for Colombian shapewear. If you are new to shapewear, start with your true size to allow your body to adjust to the compression.
Between Sizes?
Choose the larger size for comfort and all-day wear, or the smaller size for stronger compression and sculpting. Both options work — it depends on your personal preference.
Check Your Waist and Hips
If you have had a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), always choose one size up for the most comfortable and flattering fit during your recovery.
Provides gentle smoothing and is ideal for everyday wear under clothing.
Medium Compression
Offers moderate shaping and support for the waist, abdomen, and hips. The Formaliss fits in this category
High Compression
Provides strong sculpting and is commonly used for post-surgery support or intense shaping. The Cintura de Reina and Silueta Esencial fit in this category
Apple Shape
An apple-shaped body typically carries more weight around the midsection, with a fuller abdomen and slimmer hips and legs. The best shapewear for this body type focuses on tummy control and waist definition, helping create a smoother silhouette while providing comfortable compression and support.
Pear shape
A pear-shaped body is characterized by wider hips and thighs with a smaller waist and upper body. Shapewear for this body type should focus on enhancing the waist while smoothing the hips and thighs, helping balance the body’s proportions and create a more defined silhouette.
Hourglass shape
An hourglass-shaped body has naturally balanced shoulders and hips with a well-defined waist. The ideal shapewear for this body type enhances the natural curves by accentuating the waist and maintaining the body’s balanced proportions, while providing smooth contouring and comfortable compression.
A plus-size body type features fuller curves throughout the body. The best shapewear for plus-size figures provides supportive compression, comfort, and smooth contouring, helping enhance natural curves while ensuring a secure and flattering fit for everyday wear or special occasions.
Measure your waist and hips in inches. Compare your measurements to the Noga Curves size chart for high-compression fajas. If your measurements fall between two sizes, choose the larger size for comfort or the smaller size for stronger compression.
Yes. Colombian fajas typically run smaller than standard US sizing because they are designed to provide compression. Always use your body measurements with our size chart rather than your regular clothing size.
After a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), we recommend choosing one size up from your normal faja size to accommodate swelling and ensure comfortable compression during recovery. Always consult your surgeon for specific recommendations.
High-compression Colombian fajas like Cintura de Reina and Silueta Esencial use a stricter size chart based on waist and hip measurements. Seamless styles like FormaLiss are closer to standard US sizing. Each product has its own chart on this page.
Only if you are purchasing a full-body shapewear or bodysuit style such as Silueta Esencial or FormaLiss. For waist-cinching fajas without a built-in bra, like Cintura de Reina, only your waist and hip measurements are needed.
A properly fitted Colombian faja should feel snug and supportive — not painful or restricting. You should be able to breathe normally. If the faja causes difficulty breathing, numbness, or severe discomfort, it may be too small.
